GABArex Calming Oral Solution is a botanical anxiolytic for use in dogs. GABArex is a GABAA (gamma amino butyric acid) receptor agonist. GABArex Calming Oral Solution maintains normal behaviour during anxiety inducing situations such as: Thunderstorms, Fireworks and loud noises, Meeting new dogs, people, and other animals, Veterinary and grooming appointments, Car rides and other anxiety-inducing events. Active ingredient: Valerian Root Extract (Valeriana officinalis extract) 6.875%. Valerian Root Extract is a GABAA agonist that stimulates the GABAA receptor in the brain. The GABAA receptor regulates nerve cells, therefore when it is stimulated, it increases the amount of GABA (gamma amino butyric acid), resulting in a calming effect.
